Speak Life

Yesterday was a pretty challenging day for me, but what I learned is that speaking life to your loved ones and those you come across daily is essential. You never know if the last words you speak to them will be the last one’s they hear before taking their last breathe. Life is not a game, it’s not just about having fun or being about yourself or finding self-happiness…..people are dying each and every day falling lost to this expiring world forever when all they needed to hear was a few words of truth, encouragement and love.

Bible Reminders about Speaking Life:

Matthew 12:34-35: Brood of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart. A good man produces good things from his storeroom of good, and an evil man produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.
Proverbs 13:3: The one who guards his mouth protects his life; the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin.
Proverbs 18:21: Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 4:24: Don’t let your mouth speak dishonestly, and don’t let your lips talk deviously.
Proverbs 15:23: A man takes joy in giving an answer; and a timely word—how good that is!
Proverbs 15:1: A gentle answer turns away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath.
Proverbs 17:27: The intelligent person restrains his words, and one who keeps a cool head is a man of understanding.
Luke 6:44-45: For each tree is known by its own fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thorn bushes, or grapes picked from a bramble bush. A good man produces good out of the good storeroom of his heart. An evil man produces evil out of the evil storeroom, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.
Ephesians 5:19-21: Speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music from your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.

With Love,

A few months ago I was reading through 1 John 4:7-21 in the bible and it was talking about why we should love, who we should love and why it’s important that we love one another as God has loved us.  And before I even finished I took a moment to think and I was inspired to write a short quote about God’s love and how He sent an example of His love through Jesus Christ.  It doesn't go into a lot of detail, but it gives a simplified meaning of why we should love and its importance.  Below are both the quote and the bible verses for you to read.

Inspired Quote:

Jesus was sent to love, so He loved and through this example we ourselves should exemplify love also.

Bible verses in [1 John 4:7-21]:

Dear friends, we should love each other, because love comes from God.  Everyone who loves has become God’s child.  And so everyone who loves knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.  This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him.  True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God.  He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins.

That is how much God loved us, dear friends! So we also must love each other.  No one has ever seen God.  But if we love each other, God lives in us.  If we love each other, God’s love has reached its goal—it is made perfect in us.

We know that we live in God and God lives in us.  We know this because he gave us his Spirit.  We have seen that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world, and this is what we tell people now.  Anyone who says, “I believe that Jesus is the Son of God,” is a person who lives in God, and God lives in that person.  So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love.

God is love.  Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them.  If God’s love is made perfect in us, we can be without fear on the day when God judges the world.  We will be without fear, because in this world we are like Jesus.  Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear.  It is his punishment that makes a person fear.  So his love is not made perfect in the one who has fear.

We love because God first loved us.  If we say we love God but hate any of our brothers or sisters in his family, we are liars.  If we don't love someone we have seen, how can we love God? We have never even seen him.  God gave us this command: If we love God, we must also love each other as brothers and sisters.

Thanks for taking the time to read. Much love to you all!

True Friendship

True friendship always reminds me of Hebrews 13:8 which says: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” and you better believe it because He will never forsake you or leave you no matter what changes need to be made in life.  This could be a change with your job, school, health, losing a loved one, getting married and starting a family, or moving out of state or even out of the country Jesus is always there and will be a true friend.  No matter how many people you’ve disappointed or have given up on a friendship with you, know that He will always be there forever and will go through all of the challenges in life with you and never change that’s why it’s important that He’s first in your life and all else falls behind.

You Are God’s Purpose

The people around you might not understand who you are, they might fear you, be confused about you, question you and judge you wrongly, and that’s OK; because you know who and what you are and that is a child of God.  Don’t allow their blind perception of you characterize or change your belief in God or yourself within.  God first knew you and set you apart in this world for His purpose, and you were blessed with gifts assigned especially for you to accomplish what God wants done.  We might not fully understand what these extraordinary gifts are at the moment or what we should do with them.  But don’t worry though; God is still working on you, teaching you, molding you into that special purpose before those gifts can be unleashed right before your eyes.  No matter where you are at you have to keep moving, and believing that all that seems impossible is possible with the help of God. It is important that you keep your focus on the unseen by clearing your mind, stepping out in Faith and asking our Lord God to help you to achieve it in Jesus Christ name and He will. It doesn't cost you anything to believe and seek Him because the price has already been paid earlier in time on the cross, but don’t forget it will cost you everything at the end if you don’t have faith in the truth.

Things of this World

Unknown Source: “People were created to be loved; things were created to be used.  The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved, and people are being used.”

Sometimes many of us get caught up in the things of this world, and take love for granted and look to material things as being our source of living and we forget that these things are to be used, not people.  These things blind us, and during that time we were in love with the material world we ended up losing someone who we should have given more focus and love to.  Remember, we can’t take anything of this world with us when we die, except our soul.  You can feel blessed and thankful for these things while you’re alive, but never allow it to take over your soul and let you miss out on those whom you were blessed to have in your life, and most of all don’t allow these things to mess up your chance at living a lifetime of eternity in heaven.

How We Should Pray to God

The Traditional Version of the Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father, which art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth,

As it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive them that trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

The power, and the glory,

For ever and ever.

Amen.
