Yesterday
was a pretty challenging day for me, but what I learned is that speaking life
to your loved ones and those you come across daily is essential. You never know
if the last words you speak to them will be the last one’s they hear before
taking their last breathe. Life is not a game, it’s not just about having fun
or being about yourself or finding self-happiness…..people are dying each and
every day falling lost to this expiring world forever when all they needed to
hear was a few words of truth, encouragement and love.
Bible Reminders about
Speaking Life:
Matthew 12:34-35: Brood of vipers! How can
you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the overflow
of the heart. A good man produces good things from his storeroom of good, and
an evil man produces evil things from his storeroom of evil.
Proverbs 13:3: The one who guards his
mouth protects his life; the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin.
Proverbs 18:21: Life and death are in
the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 4:24: Don’t let your mouth
speak dishonestly, and don’t let your lips talk deviously.
Proverbs 15:23: A man takes joy in
giving an answer; and a timely word—how good that is!
Proverbs 15:1: A gentle answer turns
away anger, but a harsh word stirs up wrath.
Proverbs 17:27: The intelligent person
restrains his words, and one who keeps a cool head is a man of understanding.
Luke 6:44-45: For each tree is known
by its own fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thorn bushes, or grapes picked from
a bramble bush. A good man produces good out of the good storeroom of his
heart. An evil man produces evil out of the evil storeroom, for his mouth
speaks from the overflow of the heart.
Ephesians 5:19-21: Speaking to one another in
psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music from your heart to
the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.
